Finstad to Continue Fighting for America’s Farmers, Servicemembers, and Small Businesses in 119th Congress
January 24, 2025
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01) announced his committee appointments for the 119th Congress. Congressman Finstad will continue serving on the House Committee on Agriculture and the House Armed Services Committee and was also appointed to serve on the House Committee on Small Business.
“Since my first day in office, I have worked to ensure that farm policy isn’t handed down by Washington but built from the ground up – shaped by farmers, for farmers. As one of the few active farmers in Congress, I am grateful to continue serving on the House Agriculture Committee and building on our work to deliver a Farm Bill that prioritizes our nation’s agricultural producers and rural communities,” said Congressman Finstad.
“Additionally, our state is home to a number of decorated National Guard and Reserve units, industries with strong ties to our defense industrial base, and a vast wealth of critical minerals – all of which serve as key components to our national defense. As Minnesota’s voice on the House Armed Services Committee, I am proud to work alongside my colleagues to strengthen our national security, our servicemembers, and our state.”
While in office, Congressman Finstad has been a champion for small businesses, leading several legislative efforts to protect Main Street from overregulation. On his appointment to the House Small Business Committee, Congressman Finstad said:
“I know firsthand that the family-owned businesses across our country need less interference from the federal government, not more. I look forward to joining my fellow members on the Small Business Committee to advance pro-growth economic policies that allow our small businesses to succeed and keep them from being saddled with burdensome regulations.”
Congressman Finstad will continue serving as Chairman of the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Nutrition and Foreign Agriculture, in addition to the following subcommittees:
House Committee on Agriculture
Subcommittee on Nutrition and Foreign Agriculture (Chair)
Subcommittee on General Farm Commodities, Risk Management, and Credit
Subcommittee on Livestock, Dairy, and Poultry
