Education
As a father of seven children who span multiple levels of our education system, I understand the vital importance of a strong education. Yet, Democrat efforts to shut parents out of decision-making are unacceptable. Parents and schools should work together, but at the end of the day, these are your children, not the government’s. I firmly believe our students will be better served when education decisions are made at the state and local level, not dictated by a one-size-fits-all federal bureaucracy.
At the postsecondary level, student loan debt has spiraled out of control, leaving graduates unable to secure high-paying jobs that keep up with their obligations. It’s clear the federal system has failed, pushing young people into debt while colleges fail to adapt to the needs of our workforce. Real reform means restoring control to states and local communities, encouraging affordable and innovative opportunities, and ensuring education aligns with the speed of business and the aspirations of our students.
