Finstad, Stauber Join Local Infrastructure Discussions in Southeast Minnesota

ROCHESTER, MN – Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01) hosted Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08) in southeast Minnesota to discuss and tour local infrastructure projects.

First, Congressmen Finstad and Stauber joined city and county leaders, public works representatives, and engineers in Red Wing to discuss needed updates for their wastewater lift station and federal funding available to replace aging infrastructure and improve flood resistance. Afterward, Congressmen Finstad and Stauber participated in a transportation and infrastructure roundtable in Wabasha with city and county officials to get an update on the priorities in the area, including rerouting Highway 60. Then, Congressmen Finstad and Stauber visited the Rochester International Airport to discuss the growing travel and transportation hub for the region.

“Throughout my time in Congress, I’ve worked to deliver meaningful investments in critical infrastructure and transportation,” said Rep. Finstad. “I appreciated having these conversations in Red Wing, Wabasha, and Rochester, to not only get updates on projects I’ve helped secure critical dollars for but also hear how I can continue supporting future generations of southern Minnesotans.”

Finstad continued, “Having Congressman Stauber, a fellow Minnesotan and member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, in the First District is a great opportunity for even more insight into the work being done in Washington, D.C., to benefit Minnesota communities. Thank you to everyone who could join us.”

“As a Member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, it was an honor to join Congressman Finstad in Minnesota’s First District to highlight critical investments he helped secure for local infrastructure,” said Rep. Stauber. “From road improvements to essential water system upgrades, these investments are essential to the farmers, small businesses, and families who keep southern Minnesota strong. I am proud to stand with Congressman Finstad and reaffirm our commitment to delivering the resources our communities deserve.”
