Finstad Applauds Passage of Historic Legislation that Eliminates $9 Billion in Wasteful Government Spending
July 18, 2025
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01) released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 4, the Recissions Act of 2025, with Congressman Finstad’s support:
“Since President Trump took office, both Congress and his Administration have taken decisive action to root out billions of dollars in waste, fraud, and abuse from programs that fail to reflect the values and needs of the American people,” said Rep. Finstad. “In November, Americans voted for a new direction under President Trump, and this legislation upholds the promise we made to them – to end Washington’s out-of-control spending of taxpayer dollars. By codifying the President’s spending cuts, we are taking the necessary steps to slash $9 billion in wasteful government spending. I’m proud to vote for this legislation, and I will continue to work in Congress in support of initiatives that let Americans keep more of their hard-earned money.”
