WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01) released the following statement in response to President Trump’s address to a Joint Session of Congress on Tuesday evening:

“Tonight, President Trump made clear he is putting the American people first. Since taking office, he has begun reining in an oversized, inefficient government, bringing safety and security back to our communities, and securing the border. As a result, more Americans feel confident about the future.

“The President highlighted his plan to unleash our domestic energy production and spur new investments in American manufacturing, while reaffirming his commitment to strong national security and peace through strength.

“President Trump delivered a bold, optimistic speech, outlining his vision for a stronger, better America. I look forward to our work in Congress to help his administration address the kitchen-table issues impacting families across the First District. Together, we will enact pro-growth tax policies that let moms and dads keep more of what they earn, roll back the regulations that stifle our small businesses, and empower our rural communities and job creators.
