WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01) led a bipartisan, bicameral letter with 51 of his colleagues urging U.S. Department of the Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to provide farmers and biofuel producers with certainty by finalizing the rules to implement the Section 45Z Clean Fuels Production Credit.

“The 45Z Clean Fuel Production Credit represents a critical opportunity to spur growth of America’s domestic biofuels market and will provide producers with the resources they need to protect and grow the industry,” said Rep. Finstad. “I am proud to lead this letter urging Secretary Yellen to take action by finalizing guidance that rewards our farmers and biofuel producers as they continue to provide the country with environmentally friendly and affordable fuel options.”

Rep. Brad Finstad’s letter was co-led by U.S. Representatives Eric Sorensen (D-IL), Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA), and Nikki Budzinski (D-IL), and Senators Joni Ernst (R-IA), Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), John Thune (R-SD), and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN).
