WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01), member of the House Armed Services Committee, issued a statement today after the House passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025.

Congressman Finstad voted in support of the legislation saying, “I was proud to stand with my colleagues and vote in support of this year’s NDAA. The world we live in is constantly evolving, and threats from our adversaries are growing every day. We must make the investments necessary to reinforce our supply chain and strengthen our defense industrial base. The Servicemember Quality of Life and National Defense Authorization Act prioritizes the modernization of our military by investing in the development of technologies to prevent cybersecurity attacks, strengthen our naval fleet and warfighters, and support force readiness.”

“Our servicemembers dedicate their lives to protecting our freedom, and Congress has an obligation to honor our commitment to them,” said Rep. Finstad. “This year’s NDAA makes tremendous strides when it comes to improving quality of life by increasing compensation for junior enlisted servicemembers, restoring the housing allowance, and ensuring the military has the tools they need to remain the best in the world.”

“I was proud to support the needs of our military today by voting for the passage of the Servicemember Quality of Life and National Defense Authorization Act and I thank House Armed Services Committee Chairman Rogers for his work in delivering this strong legislation.”
