Press Releases

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01), member of the House Armed Services Committee, released the following statement after the House of Representatives passed the Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act:

“Our servicemembers make the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country against the threats we face at home and abroad, so it is critical they have the resources they need and deserve,” said Rep. Finstad. “The Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act makes tremendous strides to take care of our servicemembers by increasing pay across the board, improving housing conditions, and ensuring access to medical care.

“Moreover, this legislation bolsters our national security by ending radical ideology in the military, strengthening the defense industrial base, and making significant efforts to deter adversaries like China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea who remain a threat to global stability.”

Finstad continued, “Today, I am proud to vote in support of the FY25 NDAA, which secures critical wins for our military and their families. I appreciate the House Armed Services Committee under the leadership of Chairman Rogers, for their diligent work putting together this strong legislation.”
