WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01) and Rep. Jim Costa (CA-21) introduced the bipartisan Supporting Tools and Opportunities for Rural Ag Growth and Energy (STORAGE) Act, which would amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to allow agricultural facilities to increase propane storage capacity beyond the current limit of 14,000 gallons.

“Minnesota farmers depend on a reliable supply of propane for grain drying and barn heating, especially during unpredictably cold winters or unusually wet harvest seasons” said Rep. Finstad. “I am proud to introduce the STORAGE Act, which would eliminate propane storage barriers for suppliers and agriculture facilities, reducing supply constraints and giving farmers increased access to a critical energy source for their operation.”
