NEW ULM, MN – Today, Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01), member of the House Committee on Agriculture and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Nutrition, Foreign Agriculture, and Horticulture, announced the first of his Farm Bill Coalition meetings. The coalition is made up of farmers, producers, and rural Minnesota stakeholders who represent the diversity and vitality of the agricultural industry in Minnesota’s First District.

Rep. Finstad hosted members of his coalition for critical conversations about opportunities and challenges in farm country, including rising input costs, strengthening farmer risk management tools, and expanding markets for our producers.

“I am excited to launch the first of my Farm Bill Coalition meetings today,” said Rep. Finstad. "As we approach reauthorization of the 2023 Farm Bill, I am focused on making sure that we prioritize wins by farmers, for farmers; by rural America, for rural America.

“Strong farm policy produces strong farm, food, rural, and national security. These coalition meetings and continued conversations with my team of farmer stakeholders are the first step in ensuring our Farm Bill priorities directly reflect the needs of southern Minnesota farmers.”
