WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01) released a statement after today’s vote on H.R. 6363, Further Continuing Appropriations and Other Extensions Act

“I voted no on today’s continuing resolution because we simply cannot afford to keep going down the path of reckless spending in Washington,” said Rep. Finstad. “However well-intentioned, this funding measure only extends the bloated government funding levels put in place by Democrats.

“While today’s resolution will keep the government functioning in the short term, this is not the solution that delivers long-term stability for the fiscal health of our country. Rather than kicking the can down the road yet again, we need to get back to regular order in the appropriations process, put a stop to irresponsible spending, and advance the fiscally conservative policies that Americans voted for this past November.”
