Finstad Joins House Ag Committee Chairman Thompson at Agribusiness Luncheon

ROCHESTER, MN – Today, Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01) joined House Committee on Agriculture Chairman Glenn “GT” Thompson (PA-15), local farmers, and stakeholders from southern Minnesota’s agriculture community at the Steele County Agribusiness Luncheon hosted by Linder Farm Network in Owatonna. The event included remarks from Linder Farm Network, Congressman Finstad, and Chairman Thompson, as well as important discussions on the current state of America’s agriculture policy and economy.

“It’s an honor to represent my fellow farmers in Congress and ensure we are delivering for the men and women who feed and fuel the world,” said Rep. Finstad. “Today’s luncheon gave us the opportunity to discuss how we can continue defending and supporting our producers. In the House, Chairman Thompson, my fellow members of the House Ag Committee, and I have kept our promise to pass year-round, nationwide E15 and pass a strong, bipartisan Farm Bill written by, and for, rural America, and we’ll continue fighting for the hardworking folks in farm country. I want to say a special thank you to Chairman Thompson for making the trip to southern Minnesota and to those who joined us for this important conversation.”

“Visiting with agribusiness leaders like the ones we met today always leaves me encouraged about the future of agriculture in our great nation. Entrepreneurship, innovation, and hard work are the reason American agriculture is #1 in the world, and this excellence is clear to see in southern Minnesota. I look forward to working alongside Rep. Finstad to support our agribusinesses, producers, and rural communities through the final passage of a full, five-year farm bill this year,” said Chairman Thompson.
