Finstad Celebrates House Passage of the 2026 Farm Bill with Southern Minnesota Agriculture Stakeholders

NEW ULM, MN – Today, Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01) joined agricultural stakeholders, local businesses, farmers, producers, and rural leaders at AGCO in Jackson for an event celebrating the U.S. House of Representatives’ passage of the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 (2026 Farm Bill).

“The many conversations I’ve had with fellow southern Minnesotans and the ideas that emerged from the Farm Bill Listening Sessions I hosted across all 21 counties of Minnesota’s First District directly shaped the 2026 Farm Bill that passed the House of Representatives last week,” said Rep. Finstad. “It was an honor to celebrate this milestone with the farmers, agribusiness leaders, and rural stakeholders who made it possible and will directly feel its positive impact here at home in southern Minnesota.”

Finstad continued, “Throughout my time in Congress, I’ve said that this Farm Bill needs to be written by farmers, for farmers and by rural communities, for rural communities – and today we celebrated that very accomplishment. The local leaders, farmers, advocates, and community members in attendance today played important roles in shaping the policy within the 17 bills that I authored in the Farm, Food, and National Security Act. Together, we delivered the certainty that families, farmers, and rural communities across Minnesota’s First District and the country need. I’m immensely proud of the work we’ve done, and I urge my Senate colleagues to pass this legislation without delay.”
